Round table“Disinformation in the mass media and the Internet: ways of overcoming”
Scientific expert council of the RPA of Human rights protection (Belarusian section of the International society for human rights) together with RPA “Belarusian philosophical society” and the Institute of philosophy of the NAS of Belarus hold a round table “Disinformation in the mass media and the Internet: ways of overcoming” on October 17, 2019.
The event is dedicated to discussion of the phenomenon of disinformation and technical means of its implementation, the peculiarities of distorting facts, manipulating public opinion, and inciting hatred in the media, social networks and the Internet, ways to improve legislation in the field of media and the Internet, promoting anti-discrimination measures, identifying means and ways to counter disinformation.
Scientists, journalists, representatives of non-governmental organizations and government institutions, bloggers are invited to participate.
Venue: Institute of philosophy of the NAS of Belarus, Minsk, Surganova Str. 1, building 2, room 1110. Beginning – 10 a.m.
