Glubokskaya Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (the former Carmelite church)

Glubokskaya Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (the former Carmelite church) is a monument of the Belarusian Baroque of the 17th-18th centuries. The temple was erected in the historic centre of the town of Glubokoe in 1639-1654 years on the money of Mstislavsky voivode Joseph Korsak, who is buried in its crypt. It is a monumental three-nave cross-domed basilica with a rectangular altar apse and four towers at the corners of a rectangular plan which originally had the features o fthe mature Belarusian (Sarmatian) baroque. In 1735 the main facade was rebuilt in the style of late (Vilna) baroque.
Several new stages, decreasing upwards were erected over the lower quadrangular towers. The forms of towers and pediment acquired plasticity and openwork. Inside the aisles are covered by cross vaults, the remaining spatial cells are covered by cylindrical vaults with dismantling, over the middle crossing there is a dome, hidden in the construction of the roof. The altar part was adjoined by a two-storey U-shaped monastery building (partially preserved), which earlier included a school, a pharmacy, a library of 2500 books, laboratories, office space. The monastery was closed in 1865; the church was given to the Orthodox in 1875 and in 1921it was returned to Catholics. Now it is a church. It is a historical and cultural value of national importance.
