Mechanisms of EU-Belarus cooperation development

In the hard competitive conditions of the world market the greatest success is demonstrated by the economies which have made their bet on the development and active implementation of high technology. At the current stage in terms of introduction of scientific and technical developments in the production European countries are significantly behind the U.S. and the Asian "tigers", and therefore the establishment of effective mechanisms of the implementation for European states is one of the key tasks at present. With this end in view the European Union insist on the course for the formation of an integrated European scientific and technological space, which will significantly streamline the activities of a wide range of directions for the development of the scientific sector and the use of his achievements - from information exchange and scientific training to the distribution of finance and the creation of large enterprises producing high-tech products. European Union as an integration kernel of the European space in the post-war history has formed an extensive infrastructure for the organization and realization of joint scientific projects and programs. A relatively flexible system of the established system, a significant enhancement of the European Union to the scientific and innovative component of progress in recent years and scientific ties, already formed on the basis of mutual interest, create favourable conditions for the establishment of a European scientific and technological space that goes beyond the outside of the European Union. The Republic of Belarus, which has got a recognized high level of scientific research on a number of topical areas, and which has a lot of partners on joint research programs and projects from the EU member states, can make a meaningful contribution to the functioning of an integrated research area in Europe.
