Main - - Culture - Yuri's day   Yuri (Yurya), an important agricultural festival in the Belarusian national calendar, which is celebrated on April 23/ May 6.Everywhere in Belarus it marked the first timed grazing in a pasture and that was a great event for each peasant family. Yuri dew was considered healing for people and animals. People came out into the field and rolled on the seedlings, which, according to popular belief, contributed to a rich harvest.
