Minsk State Linguistic University
The University has 52 active cooperation agreements with foreign partners and is a member of 19 international programs. Contacts with universities from Austria, France, Belgium, Poland, Spain, Italy and the UK are successfully developing. Every year major international conferences are held at the University.
Research commissioned by Belarusian and foreign companies, foundations and organizations is performed. Student exchanges are actively conducted. The university provides training for foreign students. The university enrolled 275 people from various countries including: Belgium, Germany, Spain, Cyprus, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, France; all over from 33 countries. As a leader in the field of language education in the Republic of Belarus, Minsk State Linguistic University is the center of the organization of major international events in Belarus. So, in 2001, the University was the organizer and the venue of the European Year of Languages in Belarus. University specialists are actively involved in international educational campaigns, including: development of a language portfolio, creation of multilingual dictionaries, etc.
With the support of the embassies of several countries accredited in Belarus, and foreign universities, the University has educational centers: Center for Language Education, and the Austrian Library.
University specialists in collaboration with foreign colleagues are working on textbooks of English for a new generation of secondary schools and universities of the Republic of Belarus.
