Belarusian State Academy of Music

 

International activities of the Academy contributes to the improvement of professional training, the task of integrating the national system of vocational education in the global artistic and educational context.



Main activities:







• the development of mutually beneficial partnerships with educational and cultural institutions, development of cooperation programs in the field of art, science and education;



• participation in international projects and programs;



• conducting of international competitions, conferences, symposia and seminars on the basis of the Academy;



• work with international students;



• invitation to the Academy of foreign specialists to conduct master classes, concerts, lectures;



• information and advisory help for students and professors of the Academy on participation in international competitions, master classes, summer schools, conferences and seminars.







In recent years, international links have expanded: bilateral agreements with several foreign universities from the EU - the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Academy of Music of Chopin in Warsaw, the Academy of Music of K. Lipinski in Wroclaw etc were made.



The Academy cooperates with several international organizations: AEC (European Association for conservatories, academies and higher schools of music), (EPTA) European piano teachers association, CWA (World Association for Dulcimer).



Background material on the Belarusian Academy of Music are put up in the prestigious European and global publications, including the International biographical dictionary of Cambridge, International Handbook of Universities (France), etc. The Belarusian Academy of Music has become one of the founders of the Belarusian Association of teachers of piano (BEL EPTA, President – V. Yakonyuk), which was recognized as the Belarusian branch of EPTA.



Teaching staff of the Academy is presented annually at numerous international conferences, which is important for the international recognition of national musicology, performing art and education. An important factor of international recognition of the Academy is the involvement of students into international competitions and academies, summer schools, etc.
