Philosophical, social and political, legal thought of Belarus in the XI – XVII centuries is analyzed in the book in connection with the national history and development of national culture. Theoretical and methodological problems – of creative freedom, spiritual and cultural synthesis of East and West, state, national and cultural sovereignty, philosophy of Belarusian history – are solved. A fairly complete picture of native culture and thought of the Renaissance and the Reformation, of the formation of national consciousness is presented. A periodization and classification of development of Aristotelianism on Belarusian ground was worked out; the history of domestic liberalism was investigated; and the essence of the moral doctrine of the Belarusian Protestantism was analyzed.
