The modern society is considered in the book as global communication society, the essence of which is determined by two fundamental processes – the process of production and functioning of information and the process of social interaction (social communication) in their unprecedented technological and global expression. Social communication is studied as the syncretically-cumulative factor of social dynamics, as the synergy of information and personal knowledge, science and technology, intelligence and culture. The most important philosophical problems of modern civilization – the anthropological crisis, the fate of anthropogenic society and technocracy, the perspectives of scientific rationality, the globalization of culture, the symbolization and virtualization of man and society, the problem of information security – are analyzed.
